A Transformation Driven by Innovation and Craftsmanship

Located at 986 South Main Street in Cheshire, Connecticut, this 4,960-square-foot commercial office and showroom blends innovation and design. Built by Ricci Construction Group, Inc. and Kitchens and Baths by A Matter of Style—and winner of the 2018 HOBI Award (CT Home Building Industry Award) for Best Builders Showcase—it was created to move from a cramped second-floor office to a more accessible, ground-level space.

The two companies saw potential in an old gas station property, despite challenges like the Mill River behind the lot and its history as a gas station. They transformed it into a modern design center.

The building’s exterior features Marvin windows for natural light, James Hardie siding for durability, and thin stone bases for elegance. Mechanical systems are discreetly placed at the rear, maintaining clean lines.

Inside, the first floor houses both businesses with separate areas reflecting their unique identities. The showroom displays a functional kitchen with Wolf, Subzero, and BEST appliances, Wood-Mode and Kountry Kraft cabinetry, and luxurious granite, marble, and quartz countertops. Kohler, Franke, and Waterstone plumbing fixtures complete the space, also used for cooking demos.

The second-floor office offers a quiet retreat with ship-lap walls, a light shaft, and a signature cupula with a copper roof for natural daylight. Custom Wood-Mode paneling and built-ins add luxury.

The building’s parking lot allows for future development, including a possible drive-thru, and includes an exterior video system and an interior sound system for enhanced customer experience. Conveniently located on Route 10, it’s been recognized by the Cheshire Chamber of Commerce for its positive community impact.

This commercial space reflects Ricci Construction and A Matter of Style’s commitment to quality, design, and innovation, offering a space for business growth and customer interaction. It’s a symbol of progress and craftsmanship that will continue to thrive.
